OK I could be way off base here but does anyone know if Faye Dunaway makes an uncredited cameo in FOXES as "Bert" - the woman in the car who is "swinging" with her husband and they pick up Annie near the end of the film? She's only onscreen for a few minutes but I could swear it's Faye Dunaway! I couldn't find the character listed in the credits. Thanks to anyone who can help with this.
no it is not faye dunaway. that lady just has the same creepy coffee-stained, smoke & alcohol, man voice quality that faye & lauren bacall & all those old ladies have. i looked in the credits of my vhs & it doesnt even list her. it just lists the man as 'swingin single'.
This role is entirely bizarre, for several reasons.
(1) The fact that it's not credited does point to a cameo. The lady is also given a name: "Bert" or "Burt" -- which makes the lack of a credit even more strange.
(2) Odder still: the guy introduces himself to Annie as "Darrell", but is not credited by the name of that character, but (as noted above) as "Ken Novick - Swinging Single". However, he's NOT single: he's part of a swinging COUPLE!
In any case, I'm 100% positive that "Bert" or "Burt" is not played by Faye Dunaway; to me she looks more like a young Lauren Bacall. But a director wouldn't ask any famous actress to pair up with a non-actor for a cameo, unless it was a relative of hers....
That is not Faye Dunaway. She would not have done a small part like this back then. She was just coming off the remake of "The Champ", and was starring opposite Frank Sinatra in "The first deadly sin".
