I can't concentrate

Um.....so I watched this movie last night on DVD. Well I'm at work right now and I can't get the images and songs out of my head. Pico and Sepulveda.......pico and sepulveda.......someone help me.....I'm supposed to be a functioning member of society right now and all I can think about is how Frenchy coquettishly introduced herself to the class in song. When I walk down the halls of my work, I can only start blathering that A is A. I try to explain to coworkers about the movie I watched last night, using terminology like "depravedly absurd but in a good way" or "Watersesque but better and not grossout". It is to no avail. People laugh but they don't understand, and I walk away smiling to strains of Elfman's score in my head.

By the way, did anyone else think that the schoolteacher looked like Andy Dick in garish drag?

Well, I guess I should go back and try to work although I'm pretty much chalking my efforts up as worthless thanks to the f*uckup this movie worked on me. The whole time I watched I was thinking, "Finally, a movie weird enough to watch and keep me engaged....." Yay.......there is no hope for me.....

I agree. I can't concentrate either...
All I keep singing to myself is, "Bim Bam Boom, Bim Bam Boom..."

This was recommended to me by a friend who works at the post office. We chat movies whenever I'm there and he thought I might dig this one. So I Netflix'd it and watched it for the first time this past weekend. TWICE!!
Friday night and then again on Saturday morning.

The first thing I did when I finished watching it the first time was to go on-line and purchase my very own copy. I NEED to have this movie at my disposal, I NEED to share this film with like-"warp-minded" individuals. I know most of my friends will despise it, or at the very least just "not get it". BUT, I do have that small group of equally weird friends that I know will LOVE IT.

I have seen some strange films, one of my favorites being "The American Astronaut" which I think would make a great double-feature with "Forbidden Zone", but this movie completely blew me away.

And as far as the schoolteacher, I do agree with georgeoscarbluth. I actually thought it was Andy Dick in drag at first, until I remembered that this film is from 1980 and Andy would have only been 15 years old.

That was my reaction too! My best friend and I probably watched it like five time the first week we saw it.
