Forbidden Zone sequel canceled?

I remember reading back in 2010 that there was going to be a sequel, titled "Forbidden Galaxy".

There used to be an IMDB page for it, but it has since disappeared. It used to be here:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1461678/

So what's the story? I think it was supposed to come out in 2012, then it got put off for another year, and then Susan Tyrell died which is a huge roadblock. Did they just give up on making it? I was excited, and this is a big disappointment.

I'll just share my opinion on the potential sequel. Honestly, even if Susan couldn't finish her role in the movie, wouldn't it be in the spirit of the nuttiness of the Forbidden Zone to just continue on with another actress with no transition what so ever? That would be hilarious.

It was still never explained who would replace Herve Villachez. I don't know how they could.

At any rate, I hope they don't shelve this project forever. I'm sure there are at least a few great songs they probably wrote for it too. It'd be a shame if it never saw the light of day. :(

Yeah, what the hell? I could not find any info on it anymore anywhere-really disappointed!

Since the queen was killed in the original story, Susan Tyrell's absence and another queen would not be an issue. It's the 6th dimension, who knows how time works there, maybe it's hundreds of years later and there is a new king :)

Richard Elfman recently posted on his Facebook ahots of him as "Papa Jupe", the character he'll be playing in FZ2, so the film is apparently still on, just delayed.

If you haven't seen it, they DID shoot a musical number for it, look on YouTube for The horny/horrible Princess Polly.

Think again.
