I don't know what they were thinking or how they had the gall to try to remake this movie. I didn't even bother to take a look at the remake when it came out and I heard about how bad it was from people that saw it. They told me a little bit about the movie and all I could do was shake my head. I told them not to think the original was bad too. I told everyone to check out John Carpenter's The Fog. If you haven't seen it, definitely check it out. I hate that when I recommend The Fog, some people ask me, "Which one?" I hate that. Now when I recommend it, I say John Carpenter's The Fog. As far as I'm concerned the remake never happened. It doesn't exist. The same goes for the Halloween remake.

Yes, the remake was an uber-joke. A bad joke. An insult to the source material if ever I have heard of one. Even people who knew nothing of this Carpenter original hated the remake.

Zombie's Halloween remakes, as much as I loathe them, do not come close to being as bad as the remake of The Fog.

That's pretty bad lol. Zombie ruined everything. With his movie, he took away all of the mystique of Michael Myers. His Michael Myers was just some screwed up kid from a white trash screwed up background that went on to become another run of the mill serial killer. Even the dialogue for the movie sucked. Rob Zombie should never write a movie again and he should leave classics alone in the future.

Agreed. I do not like any of Zombie's crap films, but at LEAST he showed that he was a fan of Halloween by delivering a movie that was kind of true to certain aspects of the original. Yes, it sucked and my biggest beef with it is Myers being some stupid cliche white-trash serial killer, but at least it was better than The Fog, which was laughable trash. And believe me, it pains me to sound as if I am saying something nice about Zombie's Halloween.

NO INDEED BOTH REMAKES R SO HORRIBLE OUTTA OF THE TWO I WOULD SAY THE FOG REMAKE WAS THE WORST ONE!THE THING REMAKE WAS HORRIBLE TOO!

The Thing was not a remake. It was a prequel. Search "The Thing Prequel" in Google and the 2011 movie shows on top.

Rated R Horror movies are better, no matter the argument.

I feel the same way as the OP
The Fog remake was possibly worse than the F13 remake and thats saying something!
