The female disc jockey.

From the trivia section:

"Adrienne Barbeau patterned her voice after a female disc jockey from the 1960's known as the Night Bird."

That would be Allison Steele (1937-1995) and it was one word, "Nightbird".

That's what I thought! When I first started listening to Stern, he'd talk about her and use her for produced bits...she was on before him him on WXRK, right?

When she talks in that sultry radio voice in the film, she sounds exactly like her Catwoman (which came after) as well. Very sexy!

I resubmitted that trivia item with the necessary corrections since I was the one who added it in the first place. Thanks for pointing out that I didn't get my facts 100% correct with the initial submission. I really try my best to be as accurate and correct as possible with whatever trivia I add for any given movie on the IMDb.

It turns out Alison Steele is on the IMDb with one sole credit as a video jockey for the VH1 music television network in the mid-1980's. I just wrote and submitted an IMDb bio on Steele as well as loaded her page with a wealth of info including date and place of birth, marriage details, several trivia items and quotes, and her date, place, and cause of death. In fact, Steele's IMDb page was completely blank, so I really had quite a lot of work cut out for me to make it more complete.

LOL, wow. And you spelled her name wrong. It's Alison, not Allison.

Just did a page merge for Alison Steele on the IMDb. It turns out Steele had no less than three separate pages on the IMDb that I had to merge altogether into a single composite page.

Interesting.

Barbeau did a great radio voice in this film. I would listen to her station for sure.
