Awesome photos! Good job except the opening title credits of the film show Stinson Beach in the background and your photos show Point Reyes Beach. Point Reyes Beach is shown in the film when Stevie drives up to the lighthouse.
shareThanks, Inspector. On Sean Clark's Horror's Hallowed Grounds episode for The Fog, as he walks to the lighthouse he mentions the view behind him as the opening shot. He calls it Stinson Beach, which is incorrect since it's south of Pt Reyes but I'll have to check that out. Thanks.

Yeah, that episode of Horror's Hallowed Grounds comes with the Shout factory bluray and he was incorrect, it was Point Reyes Beach. If you listen to the commentary you'll hear Carpenter mention the opening shot is Stinson Beach, which is south of the lighthouse. You can tell too by the fact there is more of a curve to Stinson Beach whereas Point Reyes Beach is really long and straight.

Lovely photos. I watched this last night on Sony Movie Channel and thought how beautiful the locations were. I wanted to live there - fog or not.
