I hate the ending...like what happens to them???? It just stops.....??????

Hmm, yeah. I totally agree! It really pisses me off...
But I guess they probably left everything open for the TV series to continue afterwards.

I think it leads you to believe that some of the people (Leroy, for example) make it and become famous, and others struggle as out-of-work actors, leading average lives. It's only a high school, after all. It doesn't come with any guarantees for sucess.

The story was about the four years at PA. The last scene was the graduation showcase. They finished. End of this story. As for what happens next, that is up to our imaginations

I like how it ends - the song lyrics go "We will all be stars" and that's how they probably see it too, despite their respective struggles. Only Ralph crashes and burns during the 4-year time span, so maybe he gave up.
