Can the Giant Space Slug travel through hyperspace?

I'd say no because hyperspace travel appears to be powered by some kind of machinery and require advanced navigation, unless it could be towed by a spaceship (in case your question is a trick question!).

I would imagine the space slug just floats around and spends most of its time hiding inside the rock waiting to catch something.
