I don't know about that; it was not the throwing the weapon away and not fighting that made his victory complete; it was not succumbing to the power of that victory; the emperor was right; his arguably 'righteous' anger made him powerful; but it was ability to calm down and not be seduced by that power is where he truly 'wins'. I think his ability to manage his anger is what kept him a 'righteous' character, then his ability to reign it in and not be overtaken by it is what made him the perfect jedi; even more wise and 'powerful' than Obi-wan and Yoda. The jedi way was to avoid using emotions and that actually made them too divorced from passion and easily defeated by those with passion (the sith). the perfect jedi would be one that balances his passion and can call on it without being ruled by it. the jedi avoided temptation; that is not the same as resisting temptation.

but he succumbed because he is Human-like all of is it's still within his character
