The soundtrack for Empire is pure magic. I could listen to this endlessly.
Truly people, is there a better soundtrack out there?
You won't get any argument from me. Top to bottom it's my favorite score of all-time. It just adds so many iconic themes and cues to an already rich body of work from SW; The Imperial March, Yoda's theme, the Han/Leia love theme, the Cloud City stuff. It's brilliant. That it lost the Oscar for Best Score to Fame is an absolute travesty.
