Still The Godfather of Star Wars Films. One Of The Best Films Ever.

This is without a doubt my favorite film of all time. I saw the first one on TV when I was about 3 or 4, then saw this on Thanksgiving Day when I was 5. It completely melted my mind. I still remember being just shocked and awed by this film, and to this day I watch it every Thanksgiving. It's a shame that this truly was Star Wars at its zenith, and that nothing has topped it in over 35 years. This movie really is a miracle, as it surpasses its predecessor, which was, is, and shall always be a rarity in Hollywood.

Come quietly, or there will be...trouble.

It's also the only Star Wars film with boring Yoda & Dagobah scenes where people go on their tablets and smartphones instead of watching the movie. That is all you you need to know to understand why Jedi and A New Hope are much better received, especially by younger audiences.

Not sure if you're for or against this film with this post. If the Dagobah scenes are "boring" to you, you must not like a couple little things called plot development and character development.

By the way, A New Hope had the "boring" scenes in the middle act where Luke met Obi-Wan and hooked up with Han Solo on Tatooine, and ROTJ has the "boring" middle act where the main characters interact with the Ewoks for about 20 minutes, so I'm not quite sure why TESB would be any less received. It's CLEARLY the best film in the saga.
