True story of 2 French schoolboys seperated after infatuation(featured i

Hi I need information on an actual event.

I saw this years ago on some BBC documentary :

Somewhere in France(If got the country wrong it could be Belgium/ Denmark) Where two schoolboys fall in love and become inseparable, couldn't bare to be apart for any amount of time.

Their school tolerate this for a while, and even find it cute, then they soon become worried and then anxieties set in they eventually separate the two boys.

The two boys are devastated, though one boy grows to become accustomed to being apart from the other, while the other never recovers and this is made worse when he finally meets with the other boy and finds is friend no longer has the same feelings for him.

This is all so too much and he proceeds to rescue his friend from the school and so arms himself : Hand grenades, M16 guns, tear gas and takes the school to siege and effectively kidnaps his Friend in an effort to recapture the love he had.

He was tried and sentenced I think as an adult or just imprisoned as a special psychiatric patient and still is to this day if I'm not wrong.
