Desperately Needs MORE Editing

Originally this film was 151 minutes long ... not good ... so the production team cut it down to 132 minutes. I got news for them ... it was not enough!

This film is filled with so many way to long scenes (mother telling the story to the little girl over and over while they walk around countryside) or scenes that are not needed to advance the central theme of the film (little girl craps herself at diner or the pulling out of the mothers teeth). That is unfortunate, as the film has a very unique perspective and makes a bold statement about German suffering because of WW2.
