Really want this on DVD

I really want this on DVD. It's such a great movie. I got a DV-R copy or whatever they're called but the quality is poor unfortunately.

I have a poor quality DVD copy, but am glad I have it. It is watchable video quality-wise, and the story line comes through good - with no tape recorded interruptions from TV commercial breaks.
A very good movie, if a better quality copy of DCOF comes along I will definitely get one!

If you're in the UK, and have satellite (doesn't have to be Sky, just Freesat), it's on movies4men again on the 3rd of August. I just watched it today and it's in much better quality than the VHS-rip DVD-R version.

Sorry I'm so late seeing this thread myself.

This film has been a favorite of mine since childhood as well, and I, too, long for a better copy of it than my own VHS recording from Cinemax circa 1982.

I did want to share though that some cleaned up master, or similarly remastered version, clearly exists somewhere. It has to. Because, if one looks this film up on yahoo's movie site, there's a "trailer" available to view. As is the case with many online "trailers," this is actually just a scene from the film. But in this case, it's the early attack on Morgan Brittany, and the scene is very freshened up, crisp, clear, and visibly from a clean source or has been remastered somehow. It also suggests, as some of you all are saying in other contexts, that this film may have such a master for use on some of the on-demand or other digital channels.

So, with this in mind, there's actually hope that we may see a version of this soon that isn't decades old, VHS bootleg quality.
