5.6?

This movie currently has a 5.6 but we have crap like Superbad at a 7.8 rating? What's wrong with you people?

I agree. Mostly dumb 13-year-olds rating movies on IMDB because clealry this is way ahead of Superbad. 80's comedy is superb.

Like the largest voting bloc, I gave this 6/10. I gave "Superbad" 3/10, so I guess I like this twice as much – just not that much.

It would help a great deal if the were one single joke in it that's actually funny; I mean, Up In Smoke wasn't exactly comedy gold, either, but there were at least 'some' scenes & gags that more or less hit the mark and having the "straight guy" Stacey Keach around helped immensely - he was actually the funniest thing in the movie. Here, the closest they got to inspiring laughter, was probably the "Mexican American" song - plus some smaller throwaway moments here and there - and most of the rest of the running time only provided ample opportunity to contemplate just how crass, obnoxious, idiotic, unpleasent, uninteresting and, above all, unfunny the titular characters are and how little talent the actors playing them possess in terms of comic nuance or timing. Don't know what Superbad is, but it can't be 'that' much worse.

I had seen the first movie and thought it was pretty funny, so I wanted more. This one was just awful. It literally was just a string of gags with no order, story, and little or no comic payoff. Didn't like it and think the IMDb score is being generous.

My date last night was awful. And then he wouldn't even spend the night.

Superbad is great/memorable comedy and has an actual plot, unlike any of the few C&C movies that I've seen. Is there a single bit in any of the C&C movies even near as funny as McLovin? The only parts that I found all that funny in "Up in Smoke" were the recurring leg piss bit, the bad entries at the rock fight battle of the bands and Cheech/Chong in eachother's laps at the traffic stop. Must be a generational thing...

And to think this movie was in the top 250 once...
