this movie falls flat after the first thirty minutes...

and remarkably keeps tumbling down the hill. I saw so much of the movie that could have been cut out if not to save money then to save my brain from the uneeded excruciating needling of Bo Derrick's acting. I didn't really find Hopkin's believable in the affair, because with the exception of the opening credits he shows derrick's character nothing but frustration. I thought Maclaine was brilliant as usual but there was so much all-consuming crap in this movie that you can't really enjoy her either. This movie had the potential but unfortunately it tried to be a comedy and that's where it turned sour for me.
