The Name of the Villain

In this movie the Devil's emissary on earth is called "Mr Olivier". The only other person I have ever heard of with this surname is the British actor Sir Laurence Olivier. Was the scriptwriter trying to say something? Maybe he thought that Laurence Olivier had a particularly devilish personality? Who knows?
