This movie is so awesome. I'm so disappointed there is hardly any posts here, and no trivia. This film is hot! Jodie Foster was quite the nymphet, wasn't she? Great storyline, great characters...This film is underrated, underappreciated gold. Where are the fans?!

I like it, but it looks like I'm in the minority. Carny was one of my earliest movie memories, back when I'd sneak in some HBO viewings late at night after mom and dad had hit the sack.

I also love this movie -- looks like I might have to find a copy on ebay too. This gem is so hard to find. Robbie Robertson and Gary Busey are perfect in their roles. I love Robbie's sleepy eyed coolness and Gary's scenes in the "cage" are the best!

another fan here. i was lucky enough to see carny on tv in britan a few years back, i loved it i thought the perferances were great all round. i highly recomend that people see this. im not usually into watching dramas like this but this one is an execption i usually watch action / horror films but carny got my attention. i also recently purchased this on ebay only on vhs, i would love to see this on DVD maybe it will come out soon.
shareYes, I remember seeing this once in a movie theater in the early 80's and it has stuck with me ever since! One of those films you just don't forget. A couple of days ago I got a chance to see it again on cable and it was every bit as good as aI remembered. Many people mention Jodie Foster as the sexy chick in the movie, but what about Meg Foster with her hypnotic blue eyes! Wow! Sure wish it was available on DVD. I checked, as of this writing, it isn't.
