Cindy Morgan

I'm surprised at the stories about how uncomfortable she was with the nudity. She had a Shannon Tweed vibe about her. She was even walking around in tight braless tops. I guess you just never know.

nude vs. braless are night and day!

I am happy day or night

reply

Same!

Michelle Pfeiffer apparently turned down this movie because of the nudity.

It's a shame that so many of these early 80s comedies felt that nudity was 'necessary', because a swimsuit/bikini/negligee, is far more sexy IMHO.

As much as I love this movie (and I really do love it), I've always thought Cindy Morgan seemed genuinely upset at Chevy Chase during the massage scene (after they skinny-dip in the pool together). It's pretty jarring to watch it, IMO. That sounded like it was one wild shoot, though.

My only gripe isn't with her but with the fact the main protagonist Danny cheats on his girlfriend with her character and said girlfriend Maddie seems to want to get back with him at the end without knowing what he did.

Noonan probably would have been caught anyway after getting an STD from Lacey. Considering the short interval between her switching to a new partner, her body count is probably higher than James Bond's. Add also that Noonan, being a Catholic, would unlikely have believed in protection.

reply

Huh? Where in the movie is it said Danny is Catholic?

reply

He is from a large family with many siblings which I think is implied to be because the family is Catholic. Anyway, he tells the Lutheran bishop that he wants to join the priesthood, and the bishop asks him if he is Roman Catholic, to which he nods and the bishop says then you can't come.

reply

I thought that scene was meant to say he wasn't Catholic. Also I don't think all those kids were his siblings. One of the kids is said to be his cousin. And some of the others may have been his cousins too.

The Reverend laughed at "the Jew, the Catholic, and the colored boy who went to heaven", and so he was a Protestant bishop.

Bishop : I really enjoy working with young people such as yourself down at our new Lutheran Center... Why don't you drop by sometime, eh?
Danny Noonan : I've often thought of entering the Priesthood.
Bishop : Oh, are you a Roman Catholic?
[Danny nods]
Bishop : Oh, then I'm sorry, but I'm afraid you can't come.

I mistook that line.

TBH, so did I initially. It was a little confusing at first.
