Animal House vs. Caddyshack

Both movies fit in the whole (as Leonard Maltin put it) mold of late '70s-early '80s SNL/John Landis/Ivan Reitman/Harold Ramis lead goofy comedies that focused (for better or worse) on the aspects of showcasing "irreverence and destruction". I don't know which movie would best fit in as the third part (e.g. Meatballs, Blues Brothers, Stripes, or even Ghostbusters, which felt like the ultimate culmination if anything, if it all) of a possible trilogy.

I don't feel this pair has a third equal. Co-award winners.

I say "Stripes" should be the third because a very key aspect of all three movies is that the irreverent, screwball, "regular guys" are taking on.... and, of course, beating... the straight-laced, mainstream elitists. The others you mention also take that path to a certain extent but not quite as openly and wantonly.
