Best Character In Caddyshack

Ok we have had the best character who was hardly in the movie. I want to know who everybody's favorite character is.

Mine is Lou, you gotta LUV Lou. I luv the Murray brother's, and I wish I had a boss as cool as Lou. I thought he delivered some of the best lines in the movie. A close second would be Carl, Bill Murray, his character was so crazy. He was out on a mission to get that Gopher come Hell or high water.

Lou : Pick up that blood !

Carl: Freeze gopher !

After 34 years I love this movie, it is a classic. A great movie with a great cast, and I think it did wonders for increasing the popularity of the sport of golf :).

I liked D'Annunzio's little sister Joey.

"You shave your ass!"

She was also the one that threw the chocolate bar in the pool.

It is hard to pick a favorite character from that movie, I do think that was a great performance by the late Rodney Dangerfield. I have seen him in other movies, but he did put on a hell of a show. I think that was one of his best films.

At first I thought she was a boy, the pool part was hilarious. She didn't have a big part in the movie; but the first time I heard that phrase I cracked up. I don't think they sold many Baby Ruth's after that scene.

I know I mentioned Joey earlier but the character I really liked most was Carl Spackler. I loved all his scenes, he was just so incredibly wacky and off the wall. And the scene with Ty Webb was absolute gold! Just seeing them bonding and getting stoned together made the movie the beloved classic it still is after all these years.

"Cannonball!"

For me, D'Annunzio...because everybody knows a kid like that. Loved how he punched the cage to the Caddyshack.

I liked Chuck Schick! His classic line was "Are you going to Harvard?"

then he responded with: "Where?"

I laughed my arse off

Terry, the stoner, is pretty good too!

My favorite character was Ted Knight's character, Judge Smails. I thought Ted Knight was great as the uptight, conservative country club guy.

Lois Kibbee as Mrs. Smalls...the Margaret Dumont of the early 80's, although on "Edge of Night", she was more like Edna May Oliver. She could flip pancakes while reading the phone book and make it interesting. Actually, I refer to her as the Maggie Smith of daytime TV. When she eyes an almost naked Michael Ontkean (lecherously of course), she says more without a line of dialog than most current actors could say reading the entire script of "Hamlet" outloud.

"Lacy Underall" played by Cindy Morgan. Hot, hot, hot, hot!!! Every time she is on screen I put the BluRay on pause and just sit and gaze at her incredible beauty!
