I am a huge fan of this movie, and I know many other people also like it as well as I do, but I was wondering what age group the film most appeals to. I have graduated college myself, but I first saw "Brubaker" at the age of 14, but I am not sure how many other people my age really appreciate the movie.
Please respond if you LIKE the film... however, if you have been a fan for a long time, give the age you were when you first discovered that you liked "Brubaker".
I have been a fan of it since it came out in 1980, at the time I too was 14 when I first saw it. There are so many things I like about the movie. I have just returned to college & should be done in about 3 semesters. :)

shareI loved this film the first time that I saw it (in 1980, I was 8) I understood it better the third and fourth times, as I got a little older. There were some great performances, by the likes of Morgan Freeman (in one of his first roles) and by an actor named Jon VanNess (playing "Zaranska"), as well as Robert Redford (of course)...

I'm 19, just watched it for the first time last night. It was good but a little too depressing (even though it's factual) for me to want to watch it again anytime soon. I do enjoy gritty dramas like this though, but I usually only watch them once and then press on. It's stuff like LOTR and Indiana Jones that I enjoy repeat viewings of. =P
