The nostalgia of it.

Had a major crush on Ms o'connor in my adolescent haze.
In my late thirties now, and still have :).

Picked up a DVD of this in the last few weeks after having a VHS version wear out many years ago.

What a thrill it was to watch it again after about 14 years.

Have the soundtrack on vinyl. Never played it cos I bought the tape the same day. It was still in my mothers attic, along with my other records.

Gonna look after it now.

Is the DVD version that you have PAL or NTSC.
I too had a crush on Ms. O'conner's voice.

Movie popped into my head last week. I do still have the vinyl though.

I was an aupair in a London suburb in 1980 and had saved all my pocket money to see Hazel at a concert. To make sure where it was I turned up at the venue in the afternoon and saw her and the band entering the place for rehearsal. She saw me, asked me who I was and then invited me to watch the rehearsal "as to save my aupair money". She made sure I was supplied by the barman, I watched them doing the concert in rehearsal twice and walked off without spending a cent. What a great lady.

What a nice story. I enjoyed the movie much back in the day when it was new.

Cool! I was pretty young in 1980, but discovered this film a few years later (the vinyl is somewhere in my parents' basement). Great to see the whole thing on youtube.
