'I wish I could've given the kid a tumble'

All the years I've watched this movie, I still don't know what the asexual Peppermint Patty meant by that line in regards to Pierre. I only know that one way or the other, Pierre wouldve been hurt and/or crying after he was "tumbled" by her.

She was romantically interested in Pierre. Obviously by “tumble” she meant intimacy. Another one of the multiple times adults sneak adult comments into children's cartoon like movies and shows.
