Why Didn't Pierre offer to take in Chuck and Linus??

Obviously it wouldn't have been conducive to the plot, but I don't see why Pierre couldn't just invite them to stay with him. They stayed up all night worrying by the fire anyway, as he basically screamed that it was vital for them to leave the Chateau ASAP, yet he didn't think to ask them to stay with him? Surely they could have been accommodated, and even if space were an issue, they could at least sleep outside in the stable or something as they were doing anyway. I suspect Pierre was worried this would horn in on his Marcie-drilling but if he were smart he'd realize that having the boys around would take some off the Peppermint Patty Heat off his back. Just sayin'. Love the movie!

As my namesake may have noted, "It stinks!"

He can't invite 4 kids to his house when only 2 were expected without his parents' consent. And he can't tell CHARLIE BROWN & LINUS not to go where they're expected because the adults would think something happened to them. Although, since CHARLIE BROWN & LINUS were able to go to class without anyone confirming that they were exchange students... I guess that kind of logic doesn't apply here.
