So this movie was never released theatrically a 2nd time in the US?

During the early 90's I went on a field trip by the daycare that my parents paid for. The field trip involves going to a movie theater, and the movie I saw was a Charlie Brown movie.

I remember as a little kid liking it, and months later I wondered when it will come out on video. As an adult now I decided to look up which Charlie Brown movie it was, and the one that sounds the most similar to the one I saw is this movie.

But according to IMDB this movie was never re released, it only released theatrically once in the US which was 1980. I know I saw this movie in the early 90's in a movie theater.

It could have been a special screening. Certain theaters run movies on special anniversaries, or out could have been a private theater that showed a rented copy. There are a couple haters near me that run classic movies from time to time.

A few years before VCRs became affordable we had a field trip to a movie theater for an old movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059742/?ref_=nv_sr_1 It was on the marquis, and after we got home I found the movie listed in the newspaper, but we were the only ones in the movie theater. We figured that few are interested in watching an old movie in the morning
