I remember Peppermint Patty to wonder if they'öö get any of these foods during the breakfast..

French Toast
French Fries
French Pancakes..

There might have also been some other food stuff..

From that on I had a feeling that all of these are foods that have the word "French" in them while that foods are not originally from France. but can someone perhaps verify this?
I don't know about French Pancakes (I don't even know what they are), but French Fries for sure and I think French Toast too are not of French origin.

I remember five years later, Better Off Dead did that routine where the mother served a diner to the family and the neighbors who had a French exchange student a meal that consisted of French bread, French fries, salad with French dressing along with Perrier water...


