I saw Blue Brothers 2000...

I've never seen Blue Brother but I have seen the sequel and...I don't know.

Any film that could produce a sequel that stupid can't have any value.

i told you not to stop, now lets go - Apocalypse Now

My condolences to you on having watched that horrific steaming dog turd of a film.

The Blues Brothers never spawned that sequel. Thirst for money at all effing costs produced that sequel. It should never have been made. The Blues Brothers stands alone as a movie which should not have a sequel. Not because it was bad, but because the original was so good.

The sequel has NO BLOOD from the original in it. It is a total and complete embarrassment.

Please: watch the The Blues Brothers. The REAL, original film. You have the right to love it or hate it, as you will, but PLEASE don't judge The Blues Brothers by Blues Brothers 2000.

- Oh, SOMEbody asides me is gonna RUE this here particular day...

I own the first Blues Brothers movie and it really is awesome.

As for the sequel, I have tried to watch it a few times while flipping through the cable movie channels. I never came in at the start but picked it up in a few other parts.
Just out of curiosity to see what it's like I gave it a shot.
I don't think I watched 10 minutes before switching channels.
It is a nightmare that should have never been made.

I can understand why they would make it for money.
What I don't understand is why they made it as such a departure from the first one and why they took it in a totally different direction which goes straight into the sewer plant where they deal with the crap.

Humans are not the only species on earth.
We just act like it.

Never understood why they made Blues Brothers 2000. It was nothing like the original movie which is one of my favorite movies. The sequel came off as a cash grab. You should watch the first Blues Brothers. It's a classic from the 80's and it's on up there with Ferris Bueller, Ghostbusters 1, and the Indiana Jones and Star Wars franchises that also came out around the same decade.

To me, Blues Brothers 2000 (1998) was nothing more than one big huge promotional advertisement for the soundtrack. I can't think of any other reason why Dan Aykroyd would produce such trash. It bombed at the Box Office big time.

Granted this is one of the bigger awsome-to-stupid ratios , but ALL sequels are not as good as their predecessors*

*except Aliens and Terminator2

Poor you. I hope you've recovered and managed to watch the original since your awful experience.

By an odd coincidence I was daydreaming earlier today about what single event would I erase from World History if I had time travel and I'd decided that Blues Brothers 2000 was a worthy candidate.
