The sacrificial tribe NEVER HEARD THEM?
Considering the amount of noise the three of them made at first, AND how close the altar was to their home, I wonder why the tribe weren't rushing over to the interlopers and sacrificing THEM.
The tribe was only there for ceremony on occasion.
