JOHN BELUSHI WAS CONSIDERED FOR THIS???

this is insane. im reading that a 30 year old fat man was considered to be in this: and would have an affair with a teenage girl? this has to be a joke.

reply

Wow, that would have been just so wrong, and gross?

a) I have my doubts that John Belushi was considered for this movie, and

b) if he was, it would surely have been for the role of the father, or of the cook.

I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure you're not Hitler.

Er, I think that was a hint that most of those names listed in the Triva section are bogus. Somebody was playing a prank, OBVIOUSLY.

and let me guess was Mindy Cohn considered for Emmeline also

The Trivia section would have us believe that pretty much every male star of the time was "considered" for the role of Richard. 90% of them are utter nonsense, and are simply "facts" uploaded by a bunch of trolls.

There is no way John Belushi or Sylvester Stallone ever even crossed the producers minds for the role, let alone be considered for it.

The same goes for the women supposedly "considered" for the role of Emmeline. Remember that, at the time, Brooke Shields was all the rage. I recall the movie being solely a vehicle for her next project. I don't recall them ever considering anyone else for her role.

I've heard from a reliable source that Estelle Getty was considered for the role of Emmeline...
