The special edition 2-disc set is slated to be released in May/June 2005, both in the US and internationally, to coincide with the 60th anniversary of V-E Day. The supplements will include 2 documentaries (one brand new one about the restoration with interviews from all the Horsemen and a number of the Replacements), as well as alternate scenes, an assortment of trailers and stills, and a vintage War Dept documentary about the true-to-life Fighting First.

Hope you enjoy it...

i just bought the 113 minute version from bestpricecds in Canada for $6. via amazon u.k.
This has the widescreen version on one side and a full screen version on the other.
Don't know if the extended version is going to become available.

At our screening at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival yesterday, the exec from Warner Bros stated that the release date is May 5, 2005. The domestic DVD will be two-discs and is loaded with as many features as they would allow us given the format, including our Sam Fuller doc and a new behind the scenes featurette created for this release, packed with interviews from the cast as well as the reconstruction crew. There are also many alternate scenes which should give a clearer pictures of the scope of Sam's original concept for BRO.

I am told there is a three-disc release contemplated for Europe, but I can't confirm that.

I hope you enjoy the DVD and am looking forward to any comments you may have.

cool, can't wait for this one to come out!

Come on Warner Bros, give us our Blade Runner Special Edition

Sounds great and I can hardly wait until this movie comes out on DVD in the way that Sam Fuller himself wanted to be seen yet it's a shame that he isn't around to see it happen since he passed away in the ninties.

Well I got a copy of the BRO reconstruction dvd today and well its pretty much a huge wow!. Print and transfer look great. Extras i am still going through but they look top notch. My only complaint is that theo ockrys documentary Sam Fuller and the Big Red One was not included on the dvd, Especially because i specifically asked Mr Schickel at the Ny Film Fest screening if it was going to be included and he said yes it would. I guess money got in the way which is always a bad thing. I guess you cant get everything you want but its still amazing to have this piece of work.
Now get to releasing the other Fuller films please!!!! esp White Dog and Park Row

Sorry about that. We all really wanted SAM FULLER AND THE BIG RED ONE on the DVD, but we simply couldn't make a deal that was to everyone's liking. Hopefully, that title will be released independently in the near future. It's a great doc.
