The scene with the hazy background

It was a great film. More or less what I expected. It dragged a bit too long toward end, but overall it was fine.

One of my favorite scenes was the dialogue between the main characters, where the backgound was looking very hazy, almost liquid. I don't know how it was achieved technically or what it was supposed to symbolize. But it looked interesting.

I think that segment was an attempt to put the audience in the head of each character. I'd have to go back and rewatch but I think a few times the audience hears the characters' thoughts before they speak them.
