This movie is just insane... so sensual but so jarring. I love how uncomfortable it makes me feel. I've shown Bad Timing to a few open-minded friends, but I've never met someone who's heard of it. Feels underrated, even within the Roeg filmography. I think it's just as great as the rest of his peak films.

It's one of those rare films that has just lingered in the back of my mind since I first watched it on TV probably more than 30 years ago - unforgettable, disturbing, yet somehow beautiful in parts too, watching their romance before it all starts to unravel. I feel very similar emotions watching Walkabout too, which is my favourite film. Roeg just seemed to have the knack of pushing certain buttons in the minds of his audience that other directors couldn't (or wouldn't) touch.
