I watched it in the mid 2000’s and don’t recall much but I did like it and felt like it somehow reminded me of Jaws.
I started watching it hoping it was one of those terrible 70's flicks and wasn't disappointed. Everything from the acting to the gore was just so bad, but it all fit. Kind of like a newer Plan 9-like flick.
What I almost think makes movies this bad work is it's like those making the movie know at that time it is being made, it is going to be a bad movie but they don't care.
The sad thing is so many viewers don't get the "grindhouse" aspect of movies like this - they aren't supposed to be "good" or "high quality" pictures.....
