you mean to tell me that Dabney Coleman WANTED to work with Dolly again

after all the mean things she did to him in this movie? She caught him with a lasso and dragged him along the ground, and along with the 2 other girls, chained him to a chair in his home. In an interview, he said he never worked with Dolly again but would love to (no joke). After everything she did to him, why would he want to work with her again, tell me WHY?

I thought it over and I thought of two reasons he'd want to work with her again. Two VERY BIG reasons.

By the way, here's a Dolly joke:

How are 5 and Dolly alike?

Dolly was in 9 to 5. Well, they're also alike in another way.

Dolly has 5 letters in it. Well, they're also alike in another way.

THEY BOTH HAVE "ONE SIGNIFICANT FIGURE" (this is a chemistry joke I made up)

You do realize that this was just a movie, right? Dolly didn't really tie up Dabney and roast him over an open fire.

I know it's a movie. But even though you know deep down it isn't really happening, it can feel like it's really happening. When Sissy Spacek was in a movie with Piper Laurie after Carrie, Sissy said it was fun to retaliate against Piper after all the mean things Piper did to her in Carrie. And Sissy knew it was only a movie, but she still felt that way. Piper should have won an Oscar for Carrie. She's a Jewish gal, and she very convincingly played a fundamentalist Christian. The lady that beat her was in Network, and was only in one brief scene. But everybody thought Network was spectacular, and it won in every category in which it was nominated.

It's just like movies and shows that start with "Tyler Perry's...". Many people are starstruck over him and will see anything that starts with "Tyler Perry's...".

"Tyler Perry's For Colored Girls"

SPOILERS

Many people walked out of the audience and thought it was horribly unpleasant. It even had a scene where two little black children were dropped out of a high window to their deaths. They saw the movie without bothering to find out what it was about or what happened in it.

I went off on a tangent, but that's me!

Did you eat paint chips as a child?

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

You do know they were acting, right?

Somebody was either bored or just downright dumb! Take your pick. It all comes out the same.

I thought it was a joke.

Most likely was. What dose one do on a message board when they are bored?

reply

Why not? Dabney worked with Jane Fonda again a year after this movie in "On Golden Pond".

LOL!

What???

These posts from the vault are priceless.

For what it’s worth, I would let Dolly hogtie and spit roast me and still come back for more.

Seriously though, by all accounts Dolly is a complete delight to work with and I’m not at all surprised that her co-stars would be keen to work with her again. What would be more fun than a few months on set with that woman?
