I JUST noticed that Jane Fonda looks EXACTLY like Dustin Hoffman as TOOTSIE! just LOOK at this side-by-side image of the two and TELL me this was an accident. NO WAY!

Slight resemblance but hardly exactly alike.

Haha, that's pretty funny... but obviously Jane Fonda was much, much more attractive.

Tootsie came out in 1982. Nine to Five in 1980. Maybe Tootise was influenced by Jane Fonda's character's look, but more likely, it was also just the fashion of that period. Lots of women wore their hair that way. My Mom did as well, LOL. And that style of blouse is still very popular today. I have 2!
