I've been watching Too Close for Comfort lately and I noticed on the later episodes Jackie is nowhere to be found. She is still in the opening credits but her character is never mentioned or seen. Was she written out or leave or something?

I watched the entire first run, rewatching now on Antenna again :) and I belive the other poster was correct. Seem to remember that Jackie ran off with someone from/to another country...

shareAll Wikipedia says is that when the family moved to Marin County, it was just Henry, Muriel, baby Andrew and Monroe. Sara stayed in San Francisco. So I guess they just meant she stays in that apartment alone and didn't move with the family.

They should have given the 2 girls their own spin off but Deborah wanted to purse other projects so that's why she left earlier than Lydia

In Season 5 (the last season under the original format before it became The Ted Knight Show), Jackie only appears in nine out of 21 episodes. Was Deborah Van Valkenburgh's lack of activity this season due to her being away filming the movie Streets of Fire?
