Castle location in Ep. 2?

In the second episode, David meets Beth while on holiday at a seaside town. After having coffee near the boardwalk, they visit a castle that David refers to as a "Marches" castle, built by the English to keep out the Welsh. The castle seems to have some connection to Margaret of Anjou as well. Any idea which castle it is and where it's located?

The "Welsh Marches" refers to the border area between England and Wales. Many castles were built along the line of the Marches by Edward I (1239-1307, king from 1272).

Margaret of Anjou was the French-born wife of Henry VI (1421-1471, king 1422-1461 and 1470-1471).

In the book, David meets Beth at Conway Castle (now Conwy - the Welsh spelling) which is the nothermost of Edward's castles. I'm not fmailiar with the castle, but it is possible that it was the location used in the DVD.

Thanks. I found photos of Conwy Castle here:

It looks like it could be the actual filming location. Guess I'll have to go and check it out one day to be sure!
