Blind/Deaf Man playing piano

Anyone remember the episode about this blind man (he may have been deaf too, i dont remember i was like 9 when i saw this) about how he couldnt speak but could play the piano,,all i remember about this is that the segment went on and on and on, he wasnt even that good, and he played the same song that he made up, somehow this segment is burned into my memory,,anyone else ?? I kinda think they lived in the country and there were multiple shots of the exterior of the house/cabin that was in the woods near a river while the man kept banging away on his piano.

I am pretty sure you are talking about Leslie Lemke, who at the time was described as the politically incorrect "idiot savant" - think Hoffman in Rainman. He really made an impression on me considering I was about 10 years old when I watched that episode.

There is a Wiki page for Lemke if you want to confirm that he's the one you were thinking of.

Savoir, c'est pouvoir

Helen Keller, deaf and blind from birth, used to go to concerts and hold the arms of the chair for the vibrations from the music. It was her way of "hearing" the music.
