Is This Available on DVD?

Does anyone know if this show is or ever will be out on DVD? I would LOVE to own it.

Thanks!

I remember it. It premiered after the super bowl. Watched every episode as it was broadcast and again on my uncles beta tapes in the mid '80s. Wish I had dubbed those to VHS.

That part of the family is now the "On the other side" (divorced) and the uncle is deceased. I am sure the Beta tapes were taken to goodwill 15 years ago.

Perhaps Raines will prompt a DVD release or a marathon on Sleuth.

Cheers,

Michael

You and I both would love to own this series.
It was one of the better comedy series every produced, and for some, unknown to me, reason it lasted only one season. I'm sure there had to be internal reasons why it didn't go on. My son seems to recall Ben Vereen got hit by a car driven by composer David Foster whilst strolling along the Pacific Coast Highway. He was not killed but perhaps was badly injured - I don't know. Perhaps that happened right at that time. Anyone one else know??
Whatever the reason, it is one of those almost tragic decisions that allow for a fabulous series to be cut short - way too short.

That car accident in Malibu was way after this show was canceled.

I know of a place to get a dvd of the shows. There are 7 discs total for the programs. If interested I may be able to assist. Thanks.

Not sure, but this is a great show series that needs to be revived. I just watched the show " the most dangerous bird is a jail bird." last night. Great show as always.

Hello,

Isn't there a site that specifically hosts petitions for DVDs that people would like to see issued? You may want to start something up there.

Update: I found the site: www.tvshowsondvd.com The specific entry for this program is found at: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/showinfo.cfm?showID=4198

You have to register on the site (name, email, etc.) to vote, but it looks like 200+ other people have already voted for the series. Frankly, I'm not sure what good it'll do, but I can't see it doing any harm. [shrugs]

I, too, would like to see this out on DVD.

I've emailed Stephen Cannell and the reply was that there were no plans to release T&S on DVD :o(

I live in hope with the rest of you.

Yes, but the pilot isn't on it. It is owned by CBS & Mill Creek isn't able to get the rights from them.

The DVD set is out. Unfortunatey, the pilot, which was produced by a different company--isn't included.
