Brilliant

Despite the write up for this movie I thought it was thoroughly enjoyable and I love Lindsey Wagner - she's always excellent in anything she appears in (Bionic Woman excluded - lol).
I haven't seen it for years but would love to. Maybe it will look a bit dated now though. I recently bought "Lace" on VHS and had to laugh out loud at the terrible acting and seeing Dot Cotton in it too.

How strange, after I made this comment I found Scruples at a car boot sale on VHS. Haven't had time to watch it yet but definitely a must for a boring weekend.

Was funny getting a notification about this after all these years.

Even having read further comments about how it should be appreciated for what it was at the time and the refreshing lack of special effects, etc. etc. I have to admit that it was disappointing, despite the lovely Lindsay Wagner and Barry Bostwick.

Some things are "timeless" but unfortunately this isn't one of them. Even the nostalgia didn't make it very good viewing.

I don't think I even made it to the end of the video ..lol.

I can't even claim to have been young and easily entertained as I was in my 30s (yes I am that old now (72) ..lol. I think it was just typical of it's time and the sort of things we watched then.

I did watch some re-runs of Barbara Taylor Bradford's "A Woman of Substance" and the follow ups to that and although it was a similar era I found it stood the test of time much better and was still entertaining and worth watching.

I have recently watched Scruples again and it is a bit dated but still enjoyable i love Barry Bostwick he was great in Deceptions with stephanie powers too.Was contemplating buying Lace off EBay but after what you said i may give it a miss

I recently watched my VHS copy of Scruples and there is something really funny (ironic) in it.

When Jake (the male nurse who was blackmailing Billie) first tries to attack her (with a knife in hand), Spider happens to come along and scare him off. Jake takes off running from Billie's home. Spider is describing what happened and he says "he did an OJ out of here" (referring to OJ Simpson and his TV commercials at the time).

It's ironic because Jake is attacking Billie, knife in hand, and Spider describes it as being like OJ Simpson, who 20 years later would ("allegedly") kill his wife and her friend, with a knife.

These movies are for nostalgia reasons not to size up to today's movies so of course they're dated but they should still be appreciated. I find many tv shows/movies from 1970's-80's to be very enjoyable and it's nice to see a time where stupid special effects were not needed to tell a story.

They would look dated and slow paced as the style of today's television has changed.

Its that man again!!

I loved the clothes and cars. Sadly yes TV is full of unbelieveable violence and fast cut editing now, can't watch it.
