I thought this show was called Sanford Arms?

I was a kid but I thought that this show was called Sanford Arms. I could swear that Fred and the Fat Guy, who has now lost a ton of weight, ran a hotel called the Sanford Arms. Does anyone else remember this storyline?

"Sanford Arms" was a continuation of "Sanford and Son", after Foxx (who left to host a short-lived variety show on ABC) and Demond Wilson left (but just about all the other regulars, minus Foxx and Wilson, from the original show were on this one). The show only lasted four episodes (in 1977). You can find a plot summary on IMDB here.

"Sanford" was an attempt to recreate "Sanford and Son" after Foxx's variety show and other projects flopped. Wilson ("Lamont") stayed out of this one, but Foxx was in this one. "Sanford" lasted barely one season (1980-81).

I would love to see a revival of the show, perhaps as Demond Wilson as "pop" now, with a lazy son. "Lamont" could have returned to Watts, now divorced with a grown son, who is as irresponsible as Fred was. Flashbacks from the original show could be included.

*sighs*
