DVR'ed it and watched it this morning (well part of it!). Not happy! Why is this show featured as a "Masterpiece Mystery"??? Not the mystery I was looking for!!!
If they're running out story ideas or programs, I'm sure another Tony Hillerman American Mystery would go over really nice!!!

There was a hint (developing now) about someone during the war that the doctors didn't save. That inspector is on them for something.
The show is also a rather shocking reminder of how bad healthcare for women was back then, when all the doctors were male and the police were arresting patients.

Agreed. I was also confused what the mystery in this 3 part series is/was.
After two episodes so far, though I do like it, I still don't know what the Inspector has on the Doctor that the wife is being blackmailed for.
