Inspector Lewis V: Fearful Symmetry - contains spoilers

Well, usually I can catch a clue here and a clue there, enough that I can at least get a suspect to focus on, though often I'm wrong. This time I couldn't make connections much of anywhere, and I'd like to know what I should have picked up on.

I got the symmetry in Jessica's body. I got the flipped symmetry in Gid's parents at the end. I thought I saw symmetry in the couples, the one that Jessica babysat for and his boss and wife.

I almost got the connection with the little giraffe type stuffed toy. I picked up on the color when the camera scanned the monkey cage, but didn't tie it in with anything else.

So, almost embarrassingly, what clues did I miss?
