THINGS I LEARNED FROM READING/WATCHING THE MARTIAN CHRONICLES

1. Mars has a breathable atmosphere. 2.Some of Nasa's astronauts are evidentally mentally handicapped (the astronauts on the second expedition to Mars believed that they were seeing their actual family members and visiting their townships (heck, the martians got so involved psychologically in their psychic/telepathy illusion techniques that even they believed that they were the real family members-i.e.-the scene where they have an earth funeral for the people they killed, it's explained that the martians' illusions tend to last awhile). 3. It would be perfectly normal for a trained astronaut to throw bottles into the canal of a planet he just landed, and get in a fist fight with one of the other astronauts. (this guy got into the nasa space programm!? This guy like he couldn't have got past primary school!) 4.Roddy mcdowell had a better part as Cornelius! 5. it would be very possible for a guy to create and build two lifelike androids with the intelligence of humans, all by himself alone in the desert! (did this guy happen to build an armoured red and yellow suit as well?) 6. darrin McGavin's character is also a member of the mentally handicapped astronaut group. 7. During a nuclear holocaust, not only would cities be bombed but laser beams would hit people causing them to dematerialize!! (hmmmmmmmmmmm the builders of the weopontry in the martian Chronicles must have been watching old Star Trek episodes) 8. it's perfectly natural that a trained astronaut would try to become romantic with a strange woman on a planet he just landed on, and ask her to go away with him, after knowing her for just mabey a half an hour!! (did this guy ever think about trying online dating? I don't even ask out women I've just met, for a cup of coffee for cryin out loud let alone going off thousands of miles away with me!!). 9. The Rock Hudson character evidently has an endless supply of food and water, and medical supplies, so he feels perfectly comfortable blowing up his rocket and what could be his only way to return to earth! (wow!!!! Im beginning to think these astronauts were recruited right out of nursery school! What if one of his family members has a bad accident and needs surgery!!? there's a chance that there still might be hospitals on earth that can help. Won't he want to see some new faces after awhile other than his family? What about he or his wiv'es aunts, uncles, cousins, parents, friends? Not to mention what about when his son and daughter get older and feel the needs for other males and females? I hope there's some cute martian girls nearby!).
