The Silent Scream

would you all say this is probably the most effective episode of all of them? I mean I would have to say this and the 13th reunion stuck out the most as being really terrifying, and there were no ghosts or supernatural stuff, it was just dealing with demented people. cushing seemed so nice at first but then hes like a friggin ex-Nazi who tries to cruelly confine people and animals. he does finally get it his, but the "heroes" fate is also questionable and seems ill fated. same with 13th reunion, where basically the bad guys win. anytime this happens it bugs and disturbs me.

Realism, Remakes and Unnecessary Sequels are ruining movies!

This film along with the Carpathian Eagle and 13th Reunion were my favourite eps. They were non-supernatural and really explained what crazy people do when they are 'up against it'. Suzanne Danielle really became obsessed with her work that she acted out what she researched and wrote about, Julia's character really unearthed real live cannibals living in the south of England, and The Silent Scream really showed what evil can be like. It isn't monsters or Freddy Kreuger. The devil can be you friendly pet shop owner.

so this british television series is featured in an american set of movie collection hosted by elvira? when i first saw this i thought it was an actual feature length movie, but it seems many of the "movies" in elvira's thriller video are episodes from this series, so far i've only seen "the silent scream" with cushing, but every other scene seemed to suggest that it had animal cruelty scenes, so i didn't watch it very thoroughly, one movie featured in elvira's thriller video is the great version of jekyll and hyde starring jack palance which i think also is made for tv, but that makes it seem this collection has pretty high standard.

redraw history,
scared silent,
so busy looking correct,
you can't see the mess,
denying the truth,
will make you a darling in the news,
lend a helping hand,
save our land.

This was a brilliant episode.

I was genuinely surprised by the twist because everything I've ever seen Peter Cushing in he has been the protagonist. He played the bad guy here really well.
I wish he had taken more roles like this.
