To update someone's earlier post about why Buck Rogers couldn't meet Battlestar Galactica:
If you watch the second season of Buck Rogers, the episode where Buck meets the 6 dwarf generals and their dwarf private floating in space, there is a reference to Galactica. The little generals claim that the last time they used their weapons was hundreds of years ago, fighting off some Cylons!

Sorry to say your wrong the Galactica is never mentioned in that episode. It was the Sarlons not Cylons who attacked them.

There was a link I remember between the two series. When Twiki ended up floating in space in one episode, he was found at the exact same co-ordinates as the Fleet was in Superscouts Part One, which was 30,000 megakays from Alpha Centura, 33 degrees left of the eliptical plane, elevation 40 degrees north. I guess someone liked that so much they had to reuse it!
