Colonial super powers on Earth

I was never a fan of the Colonials having superpower abilities on Earth like being able to jump extrordinary long distances but it did get me thinking. It's been a while since I watched Galictia 1980 but I think the reason for their super abilities on Earth had somthing to do with the Colonials being raised in a differant gravity enviroment.

So if an Earth human managed to go to the 12 Colonies could they have super powers like their Colonial counterparts do on Earth?

Even better - how did the human woman who went to the Galactica not be hampered by the difference in gravity?

G:1980 uses too much "sci-fi bling" and haphazardly and inconsistently so.

And why didn't they have superpowers on Paradeen? Its atmosphere was only one fifth that of Caprica.

reply

I forgot to mention the Paradeen situation. The answer as I see it is the atmosphere was one fifth the density. The gravity evidently was similar so no extra abilities resulted from their visit.

As I understand it, the reason they had superpowers on Earth is due to Earth's lighter gravity a la Superman. The reverse obviously would not work. No mention was ever made regarding other Superman like powers deriving from the sun. My assumption is in the Galactican Universe, humans do not acquire any extraordinary abilities due to radiation from different sun types.
