Why no fingerprints?

I never thought of that. Good question. Can't even think of a logical reason.

I think that was just another gag to make them seem different and to confound the police who have them in custody.

They were trying to be cool and science-fictioney but came across as stupid and full of baloney instead.

By the time G:1980 was made, all continuity to the original premise was thrown out the window. Baby along with bath water.

I think it was supposed to mean they have no recorded fingerprints. Because they are new people with no history, they don't have a file in the database. It makes more sense.
