One of the first shows on TV I can remember as a kid of the 80's

I was a kid in the 80's and new to the US from Spain. Around 1985, I remember seeing this show on TV but by then it was on syndication since it was from 1980-1982. I was only a baby from 80-82 but by 85 I was old enough to go to elementary school and was a lot more alert and intelligent. I do remember this show but the fact that these men wore dresses and pretended to be women - for whatever reason - even if they did have hetero feelings for girls - it still gave me a very gay vibe. They also seemed to enjoy looking and acting like women too. I even thought that this was a pretty "ahead of the times" show because I had never seen anything like it. I thought America was pretty liberal but I look back now and understand the premise of the show. This was still about men in drag though (which had been more of a staple of British comedies on TV) and this coming from those very conservative early years of Reagan's Presidency.

Still a great show and I love it...takes me back, way back to me, as a child, watching strange new American television of the 80's. I will miss the 80's for as long as I live.
